#MasqueSundays - Cel-Derma Ideal Radiance Hydrogel Mask

Image
Two weeks ago, for #MasqueSundays, I treated myself to the Cel-Derma Ideal Radiance Hydrogel Mask,   aka the Hayumi Mask. Apparently, this is the #1 selling facemask in Korea. This mask promises to: Diminish wrinkles Firms skin/lifting Recovers skin barriers/pore care Increase moisturization/nourishment Whitening/Brightening What’s it like? This facemask is clear (as opposed to white), and comes in two pieces. The instructions ask you to apply the pack’s top section over the center of eyes, and the bottom section over the center of mouth. When you first open the package and slide of the mask, you are immediately confronted with the slimy and gooey Hydrogel, which this facemask is so known for. The hydrogel is supposed to be temperature-activated and water-soluble. Basically, the heat from your skin allows the hydrogel to, essentially, melt into your skin, and all the beneficial ingredients, too. When you put the mask on, it feels like it is sucked to your face. ...

#MasqueSundays - Psy Ceramide Sheet Mask

Image
Everybody needs to take time out to pamper themselves a little bit! It is hard with our busy schedules, but if you mark a certain time once a week, or every two weeks, or even once a month, your soul will thank you! Last night I gave myself 20 minutes ;) I put on my silly Psy Ceramide Sheet Mask, marked my timer, and hung out with hubby, and watched "Swamp Pawn" >_< He's very much into shows relating to the swamp....#duckdynasty #swamppeople...you know... lolz The mask was pretty impressive. It had a light, perfume-y scent. Definitely not overpowering, at all. It was felt fresh, and cool on my just washed skin. Actually, my skin was feeling a bit drier than usual, and so I was looking forward to the ceramide's hydrating effects. What is Ceramide ? First, our outer most layer  =  epidermis,  and the top layer of the epidermis = stratum corneum (SC). The SC is super thin, but is super important as it is the main barrier of the sk...

Getting Ready Quickly: A CVS MiniHaul

Image
I am a mommy to 2 wonderful boys under 2. As a busy mommy,  I don’t have that much time to get ready. Most days, I don’t wear anything on my face besides my SPF50 moisturizer. I have been looking to add some products to my arsenal that would help me look put together with minimal time. A couple weeks ago, I used my $10 CVS Extrabucks and $3 off Maybelline coupon. I purchased the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Original scent. I also purchased my current fav, Maybelline MasterGlaze in Warm Nude, and the Maybelline SuperStay 24hr concealer. Batiste Dry Shampoo Why I Needed It: I must admit that I wash my hair everyday – once every night.  It was something I was brought up doing, and I have found it hard to break that habit. I thought that the Batiste Dry Shampoo could help me break my bad habit, but I ended up not liking it very much. What it does: I really, really wanted to love this Dry Shampoo. I have read great reviews, and all-in-all it is a great concept. Dry shampoos are beneficial because...

Trader Joe's Face Wash Face-off

Image
I love Trader Joe's! Recently, I discovered their face wash with tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is amazing. It an essential oil and acts like a natural antiseptic. Some claim it is almost as good as benzoyl peroxide, which is awesome for acne-prone and sensitive skin people like me. I was eager to switch from my sensitive Cetaphil because I have been attempting to limit my paraben exposure, and so I began using it for my daily facial cleansings -- twice a day. The tea tree oil wash smells great - mainly from the tea tree oil, which is a camphoraceous smell. However, using it twice a day began to dry out my skin. So, I went back to TJ's to try out their other face wash. The 'Nourish' face wash is an awesome complement to the tea tree oil wash. It's light, fragrance-free, and doesn't leave your skin feeling tight and stripped. It's perfect for the morning facial cleansing! I would definitely recommend both the washes. I like to use the tea tree oil wash at night a...

YesTo...Grapefruit!

Image
Trying out #yestograpefruit correct and repair serum tonight. First impression: reminds me of putting aloe vera on your skin...because it leaves a slight film. My face feels smooth though. Let's see if it help my#acnescars in my chin area. The smell is not fruity or super perfume-y, which I do not mind at all because it means there are no added chemicals used for fragrance.  The bottle costs about $19.99 at my local CVS, but you only need a pea-sized amount, so it will last a while! Stay posted for my results! #yesto #yestomovement#parabenfree #healthyface #healthyfacereview x, @Ms.Healthyface
